[Dun]

(Uncommon)

(nDu/DuDu)

Dun is a dark stripe marking named after the marking in horses which expresses in the same way. Horizontal stripes can appear on the legs, whilst vertical stripes can show on the withers and the forehead. A straight stripe going down the back will always show on a Warhound with dun.

[Range]

[Minimum Coverage]

At minimum, Dun shows with a single stripe going from the top of the neck to the top of the tail.

[Rules]

  • Can create darker nuances around the areas of striping on the legs, head, and withers.
  • The stripes must be hard edged, no blur.
  • Nuances can only be blurred.
  • Can be black, or a darker colour than the marking below it.
  • Stripes should be around the same thickness as each other, not too much variation.
